The Rain Song

Drip Drop, water flops, and the aqua sprints earthbound

Smacking pavement, tickling leaves

There’s drumming on roofs and tin cans pattering

Smooth Jazz Cat snaps and claps, “Time travel man, that’s where it’s at! Ain’t got no time for peaceful dreams when everything leads back to New Orleans. Just take a look in my Georgia eyes and Mondo’s gumbo will appear in your mind.”

A quick drizzle darts down the window

As we turn a love song plays on the radio

Drippity Dropity, ravens feed froggies and the Belgian doggy ruffles some truffles for the turquoise turtles bathing on the moon

What can I say? Dancing happens in the rain

Splishidy

Splashidy

Shploo

The coyote picks his teeth and asks, “Do you have an umbrella? This rain wreaks havoc on my feral medulla like a stare from medusa but you can’t look away.”

Drippity Dripperson, drops dot a lot on the windowsills and pigeons party in parking lots while seagulls rock the greased side-part

Petrichor and aromatics chase dots of cheetahs eating electric tots

Frogs jump in thoughts and the boots of childhood memories thunder along our lavish lily pads

Daydreams drizzle and leak out the brain

Little imps scheme and the fairy-things play

The critters all love their rainy days and the Crimson Swan has nothing to say when she sees Techno Goose, the goosiest goose, getting loose with her juicy techno deuce

Wild little creatures are all having a ball

Singing and dancing as the raindrops fall

Dripity dropity aqua philosophy:

It’s a beautiful day when it starts to rain

Just avoid Papa Snood when he’s in a mood
